I have a little less than 2 weeks left of my BCP. My plan was to finish it and then let my body get back to a normal cycle. My hormones have been all over the place the last few days and I was wondering if stopping BC now would possibly help. I haven't been off of it in over 10 years so I'm not sure what stopping in the middle of a pack would do. Would I just start AF early or would it still come when it is supposed to on the pill? I'm pretty sure I'm one of those women who still O on the pill. I noticed yesterday EWCM and now knowing what it is (thanks to you ladies and TCOYF recommendation...loving the book btw) have noticed it in months past and never knew what it meant. Just wondering what to expect if I stop BC now. Any advice or personal experience is welcomed. Thanks in advance ladies!

I would stop it when you are done. I have heard some weird things can happen if you stop it early. For me when I stopped the Nuvaring, my hormones got worse not better. Also I think that I had some EWCM while on the pill, but I have no idea if it was when I was supposed to be ovulating or not.

Good Luck. I am sure the other ladies have other ideas or more information too.

I agree with lady bug.

And know that it may take a few months to get back on track with normal cycles and ovulating. This is my first month off and charting my bbts and CM; I was on the pill for 8 years.

Good luck and if you haven't already, pick up a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"! :D

I would wait until you reach the end of the pack to give yourself the best chance of regulating normally. I think if you stop mid-pack it can really mess with your hormones. Not that waiting did me any good... my hormones are still crazy!

I know it's hard to wait once you decide to TTC but it's only a couple more weeks. Hang in there!

Thanks ladies! I picked up Taking Charge of Your Fertility and I'm loving it! It's amazing the things we were never taught!

I only have a week left on BC, for some reason I thought it was longer. Anyways, I'm going to finish it out and see what next month brings.
