I know that I've been telling this to my dh for years, but had to laugh when I read this article Understanding Men: Why Housework and Sex Are Connected.  It's exhausting to have manage the kids and the house, not to mention when I was working full time.  When he helped me out, I got my energy and desire back, and it made me feel much more appreciated.

It depends on the amount of help and if I have to ask a million times. If DH offers to help me with something and then does a good job it endears him to me (a nice way if saying I am in a better mood and more willing to put out. LOL!)

However, it can do the exact opposite. If he complains the whole time or does a half-a$$ job it has the opposite affect.

You made an excellent point, it would depend on if he volunteers to do it and does a decent job at it.  It's not the same when you are asking for something to be done over and over.
