Unassisted Childbirth

In case any of you didn't watch the show yesterday where Anna Dugger gave birth, I must say it was one of the most beautiful, peaceful, gentle births I have ever seen!

That young lady did such an awesome job, especially for her first baby!

She labored and birthed at home with just her, a midwife, and her husband Josh, who it looked like was the one who helped deliver their baby.

Michelle Dugger and one of the older girls arrived about 10 minutes before the baby was born, but all in all it was one of the most beautiful, natural deliveries that anyone could imagine.

OF course the camerman and producer were present, but I think after all these years, these guys are like part of the family by now.

It was great to watch, and very encouraging for us moms-to-be (again)  haha!

I heard about this and was hoping to watch. I missed it last night. My hubby was sick and wanted me to snuggle with him when he went to bed early. :o) I am hoping to catch this if it runs again. I heard that one of the Duggar girls is training to be a midwife. I wonder if that is the girl that was at the birth. What happy news! Congrats to Anna and Josh!

alright, umm yeah AWESOME she had a homebirth. I have a feeling maybe her mom had them as well or perhaps Discovery talked them into it.

I MISS t.v. at times like this, wish I could have seen it!

The news reports said a doula was there as well, hmm......

I've only seen clips but they were VERY discreet in the filming. Thanks Josh! I know Michelle has been trying to get one on camera but it's not happened. The Duggars are supportive of Bradley so that probably played a part, somewhere!

Anyways am SOOOO glad they did the homebirth, whatever the reason was! It's good to show a REAL birth on T.V. not a medical Drama! Just wished I could have seen it! (Kara hint hint hint, if you have afn)

I'd rather watch the Duggars then jon & Kate any time! & that was BEFORE all the problems! At least you get the idea the cameras are special guests but not there SOOOO often the people being filmed have forgotten they are around or take advantage of it! And they have SOME good ideas even if I don't agree with EVERYTHING! (I am NOT babywise, sorry Michelle)

Michelle has had, I think, 5 homebirths. She has also had many VBACs. Also, one of the Duggar girls is hoping to be a midwife. I'm still sad I missed it. Hopefully I will be able to catch a rerun.

I did NOT know she'd done a homebirth. EVERYTHING I've read says their stuck in the same time as when their first was born!

Yeah I'd read about the children's aspirations once on their website.(or was it discovery's) wonder when they will update it?
