Have you heard of unecessarean.com? After seeing several alarming signs in different hospitals refusing acceptance of all birth plans, doulas or natural birth methods, I found this blog entry. I had to share.
Because the physicians at Aspen Women's Center care about their arses more than what is best for their patients, we will not participate in a birth contract, a doula assisted, or a Bradley Method delivery.
I was just picturing the hospital execs sitting around discussing policy... "So, how are we gonna sell this to the patients?" "oh, hell, we don't have to sell them anything... Just do what we always do. say it's for the safety of thier babies. Who will argue with THAT?"
