Not all people, but geez! I have a spat with my SO and get treated as if it is "no big deal"---- he's just my "boyfriend", but let a freind's husband start a fight and "oh let me listen","Oh you poor dear"
UGH! I know what you mean! It's especially frustrating when you have kids with SO because people don't realize that they aren't just your "boyfriend" anymore! It's still a serious, committed relationship. It's not like you can just break up and go about your business. GRRRR...married people think they are so superior to us sometimes!!!
I don't mean to get "superior to thou" regarding the "marrieds", but the whole "cliquish" marriage group thing is VERY tired. The registration of a marriage license doesn't give you sudden extra-super relationship power....
