I was just wondering what holiday we will each be observing and if you and SO have different beliefs/traditions?

We will be Christmas celebrating with a sister in law (and cousins) celebrating Hannukah.

We will all be celebrating X-mas. Luckily we are pretty much on the same page as far as beliefs/traditions go. There are a few small differences but nothing major. One minor difference is SO doesn't really like to decorate for X-mas. He would rather just not mess with having decorations around the house. He doesn't mind having a tree but that's about it. I like to go all out..lol! I pretty much just took over the decorations anyways and he didn't object. Actually when I was all finished putting up the decorations he commented on how nice everything looked :) Another small difference is when to put the gifts out. I always wait to put the presents out on X-mas Eve after the kids are asleep but he likes to just put them under the tree throughout the month. I had to explain to him that my kiddos still believe in Santa so he agreed and we have hidden their gifts in the closet. This is only our second X-mas together and last year we weren't living together yet so technically this is our first X-mas as a family :)

We celebrate Christmas in pretty much the same way. My SO and I grew up in the same church so our beliefs about the holiday are the same. It works out wonderfully because my family has its big get together and gift giving time on Christmas Eve and his family does their's on Christmas. So we can easily go from one celebration to the next. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or whatever your saying of choice might be, to everyone!
