Vasectomy/Tubal Reversal Journey

I hope I can find some company out there and some answers to my questions.  I am 39 and my beautiful little miracle baby is now almost 10 months old.  Yes, I have baby fever again, something I wasn't expecting to have so soon.  After my husband's VR June of 2006 we decided to just let God take over our fertility.  We were blessed with a little girl in April of 07 and now I am wishing to conceive again.  Well, I have never really had to try to get PG ( I have  DS 11, DD 9, DD 6, DD 9 mos.), but after now 4 cycles without any BFP I am getting a little concerned that something else may be going on. 

Does anyone know the statistics for how long a VR lasts??  Do our chances to conceive drop with each pregnancy??  We have never done a SA or any other fertility testing.  I am pretty sure I know when I ovulate based on CM and OP.  Could my husband's VR have scarred over?  or am I just getting old and it takes longer to conceive..or am I just worried for nothing?  Please if anyone has any advice I would appreciate any input.

I was asking the exact same thing as you a couple of months ago on here.  DH had his VR in Aug 2004 and we now have a 2 year old boy.  We started TTC #2 last May and by December, we decided to get a SA done.  The numbers came back very, very low i.e. 2 million and 1% motile.  We assumed that scarring had occurred and we would go and see a fertility specialist.  A few days after our initial appointment we found out that I am pg.

It took 9 cycles in total, although the first few, we weren't really trying.  I am 37 and DH is 40.  I hope that this gives you some hope.  We also used pre-seed, I am sure that it helps.

thank you for your quick reply.  Yes,  I have thought of having dh get a SA but part of me doesn't want to face that reality yet...I know if the results were not as expected we would not do anything like another VR, IUI or INVITRO.  We are so blessed and I would just have to put that chapter of my life to rest.... and I can't face that yet.  I guess not knowing at least gives me that hope to hang onto as long as I don't get obsessed about it which may be hard.  Again,  thank you for your input and I pray that you get your BFP soon!!!!

Congratulations on your BFP!!  You must be so excited.  How far along are you?  Your story gives me such hope.. Like I responded above,  we would not do any further fertility treatments, we would just give it to the Lord to bless us if it was his plan for our lives.  However, it is so hard sometimes to just give things totally to HIM!!  Anyways, I am glad to know that you are a testimony of how God does deliver when we least expect it!!!
