Vasectomy/Tubal Reversal Journey

Welcome to the group! I am so glad that you have found us. Although I am on the VR side of things, I can say there are knowledgable ladies from both sides on this board.

Many couples have traveled to get the reversal. That being said, you may find the perfect doctor outside of your area. Please dont limit yourself to a local doctor. Do the research and find the doctor that you feel most comfortable with.

I do not think your age should have any effect on the success of the reversal. There are obviously risks involved with the any surgery and it would be important for you and your DH to weight those risks against the potential benefits.

Welcome to the board! I too am a VR lady, but I wanted to give you encouragement. I was 38 1/2 when I got pg with my VR son and 39 when I gave birth. You are AMA and a lot of doctors will tell you not to try it (reversal and pg) but I say "go for it!" because there are many other doctors who support older moms. Find one of them, perhaps one that has children herself and did it at advanced maternal age. Many women are waiting until they are in their 30's or even 40's to have their first child. You have proven past fertility so why not give a TR a shot. Not doing it would surely be a regret and you'd always wonder "what if".
