I am just trying to figure out where I want to go from here cause I have no clue what to even think.  I dont know if we should do a VR redo and from what I understand their was some damage at the original vas sight from where it grew back together and I am wondering what the success would be if he had to have a VE (not statically, realistically).

How long has it been since your VR?

If you have had an SA, what were the results(total and motile)?

Did you have a VR redo and what were your results after?

Did you have a VV or VE? If you had  to have a VE was it successful?

Did you have success with the prednisone and celebrex combo?

Have you seen a Urologist? What did they do? Any ideas on important questions to ask?

Thank for any advice in advance,

Lindsay

How long has it been since your VR?  VR #1 was 26 months ago, VR #2 was 16 months ago

If you have had an SA, what were the results(total and motile)? First SA post VR#1 was 1.6 Million less than 1 Million Motile. First SA VR #2 was 88 Million with 43% Motile. Most recent SA was 3 Million with 0 Motile. *sigh*

Did you have a VR redo and what were your results after? Yes we had a re-do VR since it seemed to be the best value for our dollar.

Did you have a VV or VE? If you had  to have a VE was it successful? Both VR's were VV Reversals.

Did you have success with the prednisone and celebrex combo? Yes!!! Prednisone and Celebrex work!! But you must follow the directions of the doctor. My DH didnt follow the directions and that is why I think both VR's failed.

Have you seen a Urologist? What did they do? Any ideas on important questions to ask? We have not gone any further since the last SA. I am going to bring things up with my DH soon as to what we can do, want to do and are willing to do as next steps.

How long has it been since your VR? My husband had his VR in June 08, so we're in our 16th cycle of TTC.

If you have had an SA, what were the results(total and motile)? The first SA (3 months after) had 8 million sperm with 60% motility. We were just pleased that it worked and hoped the numbers would only improve. The 6 month SA was devastating at 1 million 0 motility. My husband made lots of changes and 6 months later (1 yr post-op) the numbers went up to 14 million 70% motility.

Did you have a VR redo and what were your results after? No redo. The surgery was successful, we just can't seem to get pregnant.

Did you have a VV or VE? If you had  to have a VE was it successful? VV

Did you have success with the prednisone and celebrex combo? No, to get the sperm count back up, my husband did a few months of ibuprophen, switched to boxers, and started taking a men's multivitamin.

Have you seen a Urologist? What did they do? Any ideas on important questions to ask? N/A

Our VR was 12/08. We are 10 months out from the the VR and on our 5th Cycle TTC. The VR was a VV.

SA? haven't done one yet. Dh refuses to go get it done. He said he would in the beginning but by the time we were 4 months out he went out of town for 4 months to work. I am so ready to just give up. I figure with him gone for 4 months it must of scared over from not "clearing the pipes". I'm trying to talk him into home scoping. I just want to know so I can either ease my mind or give up and move on.
