Yup - a couple of times. Local farms here (family owned and operated types; mostly organic even) often have tours, especially for 'groups' and various homeschool groups we're part of have set up events. We've watched cows being milked and then had ice cream made from the milk of the same cows. We've petted sheep and goats and horses and cows. Watched chickens and other fowl running around.
And, when DH was in his early teens, his family lived off their small farm and what they could trade or sell (trading excess eggs with neighbors for milk, for example, or selling them for cash). He's even helped with butchering chickens and such. So, we have that information to draw on too (and of course, those chickens were not fed full of hormones and antibiotics - they couldn't afford all that stuff) if the subject arises.
