You've gotten some great advice. There are two ways to work at home. One is to find a company willing to let you telecommute. iVillage is a perfect example of this. Many of their paid employees work remotely. wahm.com lists many telecommute opportunities and they update their opportunities daily. These are real jobs working for real companies. Just as you would need offline, you'll need a resume, specific skills etc depending on job offered.
The other way to work at home is by starting a business. This can be affiliate marketing, direct sales, selling on Etsy or ebay or offering a service that can be offered online such as resume writing or virtual assisting.
