Work at Home Moms

We'll be going to the UW Husky game today - yes, its an all day affair.  Of course our friends who had our other two tickets bailed on us....at 12:30 am.  Now trying to decide if we'll bring the kids or not - we'd need to get a hold of FIL to stop the current plan that he'd be picking up the kids after running club this morning....and of course he told MIL that he wouldn't need her cell phone.....so now we can't reach him. 

Home all day on Sundary I think, even DH, whose golf outing has been cancelled because its going to be anothre wet day. 

I need to go through the Halloween costume box.  Ben wants to go with what he was last year (It was a little big for him last year so should fit perfect this year).  Hoping that I have an old costume of Ben's for Carson.  On the bright side, it doesn't look like I'll be forking out any $$ for costumes this year.  Oh, ya, I'm so NOT domestic.....costumes are bought in this family!

I don't make costumes either.  We're recycling this year too.  Claire is going to be Clifford the Big Red Dog, a costume that was Katie's when she was in kindergarten a long, long time ago.  Dave is going as a Bumble Bee which is what Claire was last year. 

Of course then Katie, who said she wasn't dressing up this year since she'll be 14, now says she needs a $50 dress she saw at the mall so she can be a princess.  I'm thinking I need to look in my closet for any potential princess clothes there!!

Yep, and my spoiled darling is upset I didn't hand her the credit card to buy said dress sight unseen.  Reality check needed much?!

I'll let her chill the rest of the week, and if she still wants it will give her the option of using her own birthday cash.  It will be interesting to see if she still cares about purchasing it on those terms.  They tend to be more cautious with their own money as opposed to mine. ;-)
