There is no way of knowing what percentage of youthful circumcisions end up with problems in adulthood. Unless they come forward and admit the problem as they did to you, who knows how many suffer silently. Painful erections are just one of the results of the removal of to much sheath and foreskin. Bending or bowing is quite prevalent in various degrees of severity. I remember viewing a porn movie some years back that stared a husband/wife pair. She was going to premed school and a great looking couple. His penis had such a bow it made intercourse very difficult. Envision the most bowed banana you have ever seen and that is what he had to contend with. It was not case of Chordee but simply a product of a lousy circumcision. Aren't they all lousy? He could have painted it in multiple colors and displayed it as a miniature rainbow. So unnatural and sad to even look at on an other wise good looking young man.
Some years ago in another venue of the Internet during a discussion on RIC I received at different intervals letters from three different wives wondering what could be done to help their husbands problems. The thing all had in common was during sex their graft area would tear and bleed because of the remaining sheath being to short to allow erection growth and the additional friction. I suggested to them all to have their guy try some stretching similar to those who try to gain back some of the protection removed. Two reported back a few months later the stretching had worked, no more bleeding. The natural bonding of the sheath to the penis during fetal development is far superior in strength to the grafting back that is necessary after circumcision.
These problems are never discussed or even considered but add to a long list of reasons the penis is designed with the foreskin and for good reasons and anyone removing it on a non consenting other should be tarred and feathered and exposed on main street carrying a sign, "I cut babies."
