...say they have better love lives.

Being busy working moms, taking care of your precious babes, and making time to pump, do you think this is true?  Do you find your husband more attractive when he helps out around the house?

American women have long hinted that seeing their husbands doing housework—or at least seeing the results—is an aphrodisiac. Now, for the first time, men confirm that the housework-sex link is real. According to a survey of 288 men, husbands concede that when they do their share in the kitchen or laundry room, their wives tend to return the favor in the bedroom. This connection was confirmed in a groundbreaking new report on women, work and families by Maria Shriver and the Center for American Progress. Women feel more sexual attraction to husbands who do more housework and child care.

I totally agree. It's hard to feel sexy or sexual after a long day of cleaning the house, chasing/feeding/bathing kids on top of many more daily responsibilities. But, if my husband helps it does two things. One, I am so appreciative that I do feel more connected to him. And two, it saves me some energy to show my appreciation, if you know what I mean. Haha.

Another reason why I love that my husband is so engaged in the home is because my girls see that. They see their dad doing dishes, laundry, sweeping on top of making their meals, baths, etc. And I hope that they'll recognize that a working home means two parents pitching in and someday they will seek out a person who will be equally has helpful and supporting. This also translates to a more connected feeling on a sexual level with my husband.

Would it be just awful if I forwarded the link to that article to my husband? LOL!

He is actually very helpful around the house - but since we've had our first son 5 weeks ago he's nervous about helping with some baby tasks - I've only left him alone with the baby for 2 or 3 hours so I could get my nails done and take car of my chewbaca like eyebrows - which I'm sure he appreciated. But, I did notice that when I got home he seemed sexier to me. Maybe it's because he vacuumed???
