First of all, I don't understand why you don't have the writeup. Didn't you develop it with them at the meeting? With my kids, we worked through it and it was written up (on an overhead or smartboard off a computer) and we did everything, signed it and made copies. If there was a disagreement, we came back the same week to try and resolve. They need to get a final copy to you ASAP!
Secondly, sigh... You're going to have to start following up on this nicely. I am the queen of 504s and IEPs (two IEPs and one 504 kid). My 504 kid is supposed to get written notes whenever she is absent - provided by the teacher. And yet, she still gets, "oh, just talk to one of your friends." That lasts exactly until she gets home and tells me and I am on the phone, emailing, sending copies of the plan. I always try to be nice, but you have to be firm. When she comes back and says, "oh, Liam likes sitting by his friend Susie," or "I didn't want Liam to be the only one to not switch," or "this makes it much easier for him to leave for services," STAND YOUR GROUND.
Okay, off my soapbox, lol! I just hate, hate, hate when I feel like I'm the IEP police :(
