Hello and good morning!  My name is Tammy and I'm a wife and loving mom to Lana who is 7 and loves 2nd grade and Katie who is 5 and loves Kindergarten.  We have 2 dogs and 1 cat.

My family loves November and the cool air outside and the warmth inside the home.  More baking; which my family loves and Thanksgiving of course.  My kids have this Friday off from school, so it's a small preview for the long Thanksgiving weekend.  This weekend is suppose to get up to 60, so we're putting up the Christmas lights on the parts of the house that are hard to get to.

Have a great November!!!

I'm Theresa, sahm to 4. Dd19 is a junior in college nearby. Dd17 is a senior in HS, busy applying to colleges! Ds9 is in fourth grade and ds7 is my reason for this board. He's in second grade, likes soccer, math, karate and legos. He's definitely my baby- sweet, funny, smart and yet EXASPERATING! :) We just got the first report cards. He did well, except for the few things we already expected to be a problem: organization, handwriting and listening skills. He tends to race through his work and usually manages to start it without actually listening to the directions. We weren't sure how math would go this year, as he joined 4th grade math, but that has been a breeze and he finished with a solid A (96%). It's second grade that has been more of a challenge, lol!

I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of November. We love September and October, and Christmas is fun, but November..eh..  We are vegetarians, too, so I'm not even that fond of the big Thanksgiving dinner.

Theresa

Since we seem to travel so much during NOV, I do a lot of baking in Dec. for Christmas. WE will be putting the christmas stuff up either the weekend before thanksgiving or the weekend after.

Yes, NOV would not be a good month if you are a vegetarian i guess you could get a tofu turkey but really that is not the same. You could eat all the veggies minus the meet products that some use. Glad your DS is doing well in 2nd grade he sounds like my DD in racing through work because she has had some problems with that as well.
