My DD is 4 & wants to bathe alone. I know that she is too young, as she can't even wash her hair herself without help. So, I was just wondering. What age did you let your kids shower or bathe alone? Heather
I wouldn't let Noah bathe alone until at least 6 or 7. I don't know, not in that territory yet, LOL. But, I know I definitely wouldn't do that at 4. Maybe shower, with me in the room, but not take a bath.
My DS started showering alone when he was 4 almost 5 but my DD was 7, and still needed help for a while washing her hair because it is long. I would try letting them shower and help them wash their hair and body but let them do it, coach them through it, and you'd be surprised how much they are capable of on their own.
My girls were 5, my son 4. I don't wash their hair every night, so when they needed it washed, I would just come in and wash it for them. It took a few tries for them to master showering by themselves, but they quickly learned and helped take a LOT of time off of my shoulders, having to wash each of them myself!
Lucky you. I wish I could do DD's hair & leave it for a few days. She has got long hair, down to her butt, and it is super curly. If it isn't washed & conditioned everyday it is impossible to comb. It also takes forever to do her hair each day. Heather
