Theres nothing other than dds swing that make her more happy. My only question is, up to how much time is O.K. for her to be swinging in it? Anyone have a clue?

Well, the AAP recommends no more than 30 minutes a day but that's because they don't want parents to substitute the swing for cuddling/holding their baby. However, if I have done everything and my daughter still doesn't calm down, I try the swing and it usually calms her down and/or puts her to sleep (which usually it is overstimulation/need to sleep that gets her wound up I think). So, I think if you've done lots of holding, cuddling, and checked everything else, using the swing to calm baby down as much as you want is fine, I think.

Also, apparently I was a big lover of the swing as a baby, and my parents kept me in it all the time, and I came out fine. :-P
