My son graduates college this May, double major, great grades, etc. He just told me he wants to work in China (he speaks pretty good Mandarin) for a couple of years, then go to graduate school back in US.
I knew he had wanderlust, but wasn't expecting the other side of the planet for so long.......wah!
My SS wants to do this too. His dad had a fit. He wants to teach English in China. My dh said that over there, they can seize his passport because he is supposed to stay there for a year -- if he decides after a month that it sucks, he's stuck for a year. He's an adult so can make his own decisions but 1 year, or more, is a long time. Hopefully your son will think on it before making any long-term decisions.
