another update on my friend-keep praying
hi again!
i visited my friend (who is pg with the twins) today - it was so good to see her! i ended up printing a couple pictures off her fb page and putting them in frames and taking them to her. she only had a couple pictures of her boys, and none of her and her husband, so she really appreciated it. she is in GREAT spirits, which is her style. she does have pre-e, and she's waiting on test results to know whether this is affecting her kidney function - the drs are worried that it's making her kidneys begin to shut down. so, they're monitoring her "output," along with daily NST's, and BP every 4 hrs.
according to her meeting with the drs today, they're almost 100% positive that they're going to go ahead and take these babies out at 32 weeks, which would be next wednesday. they haven't actually scheduled yet, but that's pretty much the plan. 32 weeks is an important milestone for the central nervous system, apparently. the drs seem incredibly positive about the outcome of it all - they think the boys will be just fine! but, it's still really difficult to have so much to worry about, and to know that they'll be in the NICU for a month or 2.
my friend isn't allowed to have her boys in her room, because of visiting restrictions due to H1N1, but she's hoping to get wheeled down to the lobby to see them tomorrow - pray that works for her! also, just keep her in your prayers next week, as it sounds like it's going to be a big week for them! as of now, baby A is about 4 lbs 10 oz, and baby B is a little over 2 lbs. please pray for a huge growth spurt for baby B in the next couple days!!
thank you so much, again, for praying along with me in this! i'll let you know if i hear anything!
