Mama,

We are okay, grieving normally, I guess.  We miss her terribly.  There is a pain that will never completely be gone. 

I think it's unfair, unjust, and it just plain stinks that she got cancer and that she is gone from this earth and there are awful people out there living.....  I know that God had a plan for her and that she is rejoycing in the Kingdom of Heaven.  But gosh, we still miss her.

We're doing okay.  Dad joined a Hospice Grief Support Group and he is staying busy with some church groups, cleaning up his yard from a tornado & storm damage they had in July right before vacation, and visiting all of us.  I was talking to DH last night about how much a part of our lives Mom was and now that she's gone, it's even more apparent how huge her impact is/was on our lives.  She's with us every day in our thoughts, prayers, and memories. 

Colton's birthday party will be our first "event" without her.  I'm going to frame a small picture of her and light a candle beside it in her memory.  The holidays are unimaginable at this point, but I'm sure with His help, we'll make it through.

((HUGS))  I've had you and your family in my prayers, and been checking in with you on FB.  I'm glad your dad is staying busy.  It's wonderful that he has you and his family to support him during this difficult time. 

I can't believe that Colton is almost 2!  It seems like yesterday that you were pg with him.  I love the idea of how to have your mom at his BDay party.  God is with you everyday, as is your mom, and they will help you through that and the holidays.
