eBay & Etsy Moms

Hi everyone!  I am currently getting my shop ready for Christmas.  I design photo cards and banners on etsy.  If you need birth announcements, Christmas cards, or invitations, my shop is a great place to look!  I started doing this one year when I was tired of the boring Christmas card designs that were just like everyone else's.  I decided to make my own, and now I have turned that into a business!  Most of my sales are off-etsy, but I love to sell on etsy as well.  Please take a look and also tell me what you are doing to get ready for the holidays in your shop!

My shop is going to have to go through a major overhaul for Christmas.

I'm honestly thinking about splitting my shop into two shops, one for all of my clay creations, which do really well at Christmas, and one for all of my costumes, tutus, etc that sell the rest of the year.

I just finished my last Halloween orders, so I plan to get cracking on the Christmas stuff this week, get samples done and start uploading like crazy this next week.

I just hope Christmas sales are better than Halloween. I've never had such a bad Halloween on eBay. Etsy sales actually beat my eBay sales this year!

Etsy was great for me through Halloween with my fairy costumes, but its DEAD now. Hoping its just a lull and the holiday sales pick up soon. eBay is just as bad for me this week. My only income has been from Alchemy on Etsy.

Etsy did have a slow day since Halloween, I was getting lots of sales through sept / oct but really have died down. I think it will pick up again with the holidays.

I did realize that I have to renew several listings each day.  Started doing that in July/August. Prior to that I didn't realize that was what was needed to get your stuff out there for people to see.  So now I do and my sales are way up (including wholesale.) Hopefully that trend will continue.
