Hi Congratulations all you new mothers!

Amelia is 9 days old and I want to start taking walks with her in her stroller.  We live in sunny florida which is great except I am so scared she is going to get a sunburn.  I put her in her stroller and pull both canapies over her but the sun still seems to get in.  What can I do to make sure no sun touched her new skin?

Beth

I'm a florida girl too...I was wondering the same thing! I know they have sunscreen for babies, but I don't know if I like the idea of putting those chemicals on her skin just yet. Maybe drape a blanket over the gap between the canpies?

fellow floridian here...doc said no sunscreen yetr....the chemicals are not good for them.   I have a hat with a front visor and neck flap that ds wears and i use the canopy...i also take a thin cloth diaper...nice and thin and breatheable and drape over any part the canopy does not cover...so far we've been fine even on our sailboat with this method!:)
