Monopoly Deal, and Scrabble Slam

We played both of these games when we only had our 10 y/o dd home. She LOVED scrabble slam (especially when dh started making up silly words....just a big kid) but we all wondered what it would be like if we used 5 letters instead (I think another poster said this as well). We will try it that way next time. The only thing we struggled with was all the cards! Molly's little hands couldn't shuffle through them fast enough to make a word before someone else did.
We played Monopoly Deal with just Molly the first time. We struggled with all the directions, but then went ahead and just started playing. We picked it up in a hurry and the 3 of us enjoyed it. Last night we played again, this time having to teach Katie (13). She picked it up without very little instruction. We told her to just start playing and she would figure it out. She did. I will recommend this game to lots of people! We liked how quickly you can get thru a game on a school night :)
