DS is 4.  He doesn't get to enjoy the new games we got for this study, because they all require some reading.  He plays and I help him, but they are all a bit much for him.

What he does like to play are Chutes and Ladders, Uno (he still needs a little help with this one), and Candy Land.

He doesn't like to lose.  It's hard to teach him that it's ok to not win every time.  Sometimes if he thinks he's falling behind, he'll quit the game.  Sometimes I do cheat to let him win, but don't want to do that too much.  He needs to learn that someone else can win sometimes too.

I was lurking around, had no idea IV had this board I am somewhat of a board game junky as in I just went to TRU and spent some money there yesterday because they are having a sale on some games.

ANYWAYS back to the topic of Toddlers/Preschoolers game. My boys have had this game for 2 years now and they LOVE IT. They could be playing video games and if I say ...."anyone wants to play Zingo with me" they drop what they are doing and come play with me. I got this games when my youngest son was 3 yr old and was going through speech therapy. Is easy because there is no need to read but they get this only RUSH of excitement when they get one of the pictures in their card. Now that he is older we can adjust the game to make a little more difficult for them. He loved this game so much he took it to daycare and it was the sensation there. The teachers went out to get a set for the center. I was amazed to walk in there and see 10 little kids younger than 5 all seating nicely at the table with their teacher playing this game. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it.

Another game he has been enjoying recently is Cariboo. He REALLY likes that game (He is 5 now). Unfortunately the dog ate one of the balls LOL I need to go to the dollar store and get extra ball for the game but I highly recommend it too.

OT. I got this games on sale at TRU "for X-mas" but I don't think they'll make it till then LOL

Another good one is Hullabaloo. I love that it's a movement type game and that a wide range of ages can play it together. The kids love that it's silly and a lot of fun. When we first got it about three years ago, my kids ranged from 3-12, and they all enjoyed it!
