Special time for older kids
I have 5 kids ages 2 through 8. When we do family activities, we have to choose something that all the kids will enjoy. Having a family game night (after the younger ones are in bed) gives us time to spend doing something more "grown up" with the older kids. Actually, that's the only time we can really play board games, because otherwise the little ones wreck them. :)
