There are a lot of people out there who are interested in greening up their lifestyle, but think it's too daunting a task - or too expensive. Let's show them how easy and cheap (or free!) it can really be. Share your tips here  (one tip per post) and let's see how many people we can get to join in!

*** Everyone is welcome here - regulars, lurkers, even those who haven't been to the board before! If you have a tip, then share it with us!***

FREE - Take your travel mug with you when you get coffee. You save a cup and plastic lid from the landfill and many coffee shops will give you a small discount too!

FREE - Bring your own plate and silverware to the office with you. Use them instead of disposables.

I'm game!

EASY/CHEAP: use cold water for your laundry. It's just as effective as warm and hot, but saves the energy of heating it.

FREE: If you have central air/heat, make sure that furniture and rugs are away from the vents so that air flow is unobstructed.
