This looks like a really neat product!

A Greener Vacuum Cleaner

"Here's an exciting innovation in home appliances for the growing numbers of women interested in making their cleaning routine a little greener.

According to a 2007 survey conducted by Electrolux, 70 percent of North American and European consumers want their appliances to be environmentally friendly, 76 percent compare the energy efficiency ratings of different brands and 93 percent of those buyers said that the ratings strongly influenced their purchasing decision. This feedback led the company to develop the UltraSilencer Green vacuum cleaner."

Finally had a chance to read this. This sounds like a good product! You can't really make a vacuum without plastic, so it's good to see that they're using recycled plastic at least. The price point is a little steep for me, but I'm kind of cheap, lol! Compared to a Dyson though, it's not bad.

Would you believe that I've never owned a vacuum??? When I was single I always lived with a roommate who had one. When I moved in with DH, he had one already. That one is on it's last leg, so I borrow MIL's fancy vacuum now (she lives in a little apartment at our place so she's right there).

One of these days I know I'm going to have to break down and buy one!

Wow, that's a really interesting fact about Kellie!  ;)

I hate vacuums.  I have never had good luck with them- they always give me trouble or break down.  But then again, like you, I'm cheap and buy the not-very-good ones.  LOL!

I've been thinking I need to invest in something better.  *sigh*  Or maybe I should just switch to hardwood instead.  :P
