I couldn't find a "rant" folder so I'm putting it under general chat and welcome anyone with In Law issues to join me in "getting it all out"! I know these may sound harsh but I truly dispise the woman (for many reasons)and feel so better after I rant as I keep my mouth shut to my DH.

Thinks I wish I could say to my MIL:

1) I hope you don't think I actually believe you love your grandchildren as it has taken you three weeks to drive 2 hrs and see your newest grandson. But oh yes "you love them soooooo much" just not as much as going to the doctor to get diagonosed with another "all in your head" illness. Yay perscription meds.

2) I am only have two children. I'm okay with not having a girl so shut up about it before I slap you. Boys are great and not every mother wants to have a girl.

3)Please stop buying my kids crap from the dollarstore. While your intentions are nice your taste is horrible and I just end up throwing the stuff out after you leave from your 10 min visit.

4) Are you kidding me? you will NEVER babysit my kids.

5) when they visit you at your house, they come back covered in cat hair and smell funny.

6) the kids like my mother soooooooooooooo much better then you and always will :o)

Thanks, I feel so much better!

OMG!  I feel ya!  Here goes mine!!!

1.  Stop telling me how you did it with your kids, and insisting it is still ok, that was almost 30 years ago, times have changed, and the doctors know more than you!

2.  When we tell you we want to handle something, anything, a certain way, don't say ok and then do what you want anyway, do it our way!  It's OUR kid, not yours!  It may be expensive, but I have No problem finding day care for her, rather than having you watch her for free!  If they listen to what we want for OUR child, it would totally be worth it!!!

3.  My kid will, I am sure, like my mother better because her house doesn't smell funny and she is not super pushy, and she is not stuck in the 80's (parenting wise).  She is up to date on these things and will not try to put her to sleep on her tummy when everyone says NO, even though my sister and I slept on ours and are still alive!

4.  I may not know what I am doing all of the time, being as this is my first child, but I am obviously doing something right as the dr says she is perfectly healthy, happy, and growing wonderfully!

5.  Quit pushing the stupid binky on her.  If she spits it back out 3 times as soon as you put it in, maybe she doesn't want it, it is ok for a baby to NOT like a binky, and I am absolutley fine with her not using one if she doesn't appear to like it!

I am SURE there is more, but I don't want this to be too long of a post!

OMG I'm laughing my butt off here lol. Let's see I can second numbers 1,3,5 & 6. My MIL lived literally 5 minutes from us and saw my 1 yr ds 2x last year and still hasn't seen my newest, but she loves them so much, okkkkkkk. Stop buying the little ones candy. She likes to buy this junk candy that makes the biggest messes. That crap goes in the garbage once she leaves too.

I guess I'm lucky. I  haven't seen my in laws in over a year, and one set hasn't seen Sawyer, and the other has never met Logan or Sawyer.  They're stupid and evil and can just stay away!
