Hello,

I have not posted on here yet, but I am hoping someone can help me?  My son is six weeks old today.  I have two other older children as well, so I am not new to this.  My little one will only sleep in the car seat.  When I put him in the crib, he will only sleep for a short period and wakes up....  Also, he will sleep from about 8 till 1 a.m.  But after 1:00 a.m. he is up every two hours and will not go back to sleep in car seat.  He has to sleep with me from 3 till 5 and then he will go back to car seat.  I have to go back to work soon and want to put him in his own room, but that is on a different floor and I can't go up and down the stairs every two hours.  How do I achieve get him to sleep in his crib and not wake up later part of morning every two hours??  I  am formula feeding, he is 11 pounds already.  Thank you@

Are you laying him on his back in the crib, or on his side? My little one is 1 month old, and I realized that she loves to lay on her tummy to sleep. Well that isn't going to happen, so we chose her side (which she also likes). My guess is that the carseat makes them feel all snuggly. Try using a sleep positioner/wedge, to keep your baby on their side, and wrap them up good in a nice, warm blanket. See if that helps! My baby went from waking every 2 hours during the night, to only getting up once, after we started using the wedge! Good luck! ~ Holly

I know how frustrating it can be to have sleep issues.  I just wanna point out that in my book you're so lucky.  My daughter wakes up every two hours to eat regardless.  Twice since she was born she slept four hours at one time, but only twice.  It does suck to have to face going back to work and he's still not sleeping very much.  I really hope he starts really soon.  I heard that between six and eight weeks it's supposed to get better.  Maybe he'll start any day now.
