July 2008 Expecting Club

Just checking up on you and everyone else ! I'm having a hard time keeping track of people ;-) I hope everything is going well for everyone !

I'm ok just feeling the pinch of all the kids,school shopping, needing to get a job, and trying to find me again !

I'm still having a hard time eating and it's affecting Zoey. I can nurse her for 45 mins and still she is hungry so a hour later she ends up drinking 4 ounces of formula then she is happy. Ugh it's driving me crazy as heck b/c I'm drinking Ensure and everything.Otherwise as long as she is full she is happy :-) 

Amari turned 3 yesterday and we had a party at the park. It turned out really well and she was happy ! I can't believe she is 3 now lol ! Zion is still the happy go lucky one he is helping me stay sane with all his laughter and hugs lol. And my oldest Chardonnay is starting to drive me crazy with the back to school craze :-)

Dh and I are doing ok just trying not to go crazy with all the pressure of a new baby and life KWIM?

Ok after typing all this with one hand my hand is cramping lol!

Hey, Keona & Everyone!

Things are hectic here but not too much more than usual...LOL. It's just diaper-change central is all. The second I get a diaper on this little guy, he is all about the poop! ROFL! Why does he do this? I'll never know. It keeps me on my toes (and at the changing table) that's for sure! ;)

Drake is growing so fast, though. I can't believe it, but he's in size 2 diapers already. I got the wrong size and didn't feel like taking them back so I figured I'd hang onto them till they fit - lo and behold they fit better than the size 1's! Where did my peanut-sized newborn go? :::cries:::

We also rescued a 4 month old kitten a couple of weeks ago and he is a handful but I knew that would be the case when we got him. It's funny because he is super-hyper but when you want to pick him and cuddle him he is really sweet and mellow. I've never had a cat like that before. Most of my cats have been one way or the other but not this little guy. I'm trying to name him Toonces but my 16 yo son is reluctant to agree since his name was "Brooks" when we got him. Call me crazy, but I like Toonces better. Remember Toonces the driving cat from Saturday Night Live in the 80's? LOL.

Keona, I'm glad to hear that Amari's b-day party went well and she was so happy. Where does the time go? That is so sweet about Zion keeping you grounded with his love and hugs, too. I can also relate to the back-to-school craze - it's nuts! 8)

I hope everyone is doing well! Just think - we were all hoping July would hurry up and get here for months on end and now this may be the last time we meet up like this for a chat before the new Playgroup goes up! :*) I'm feeling very sentimental today and I'm not sure I'm ready for this but ...wheeeeeee....here we go!

I get really sentimental too.  Talon being my last and all.  I would keep having kids forever,  I LOVE being a mom & love having a large family.  I hate that they grow!  I wish I could freeze time.

My kids all start school on the 25th (all but the three little ones).  I am excited for that as I can get a routine started again.  I really can't wait for it to get dark early too.  Then I can get the kids to go to bed too!  I feel like my life is not normal over the summer.  Add a new baby to that too and it's crazy!  I wan't to start a weight loss program too but I think I want to wait until the 25th too.

I am luck as for once I am not typing with one hand.  Talon is asleep for a minute.  Maybe I'll try to get a shower before my minute is over!

But once we become a playgroup we can chat in the chat room !! Heyyyyy

But I feel the same way Amy more and more as Zoey gets older :-) Since she is suppose to the last but I'm getting worried b/c dh canceled another appt for him to talk to the dr about getting snip. He keeps making excuse so I'm thinking of getting the IUD b/c he is soo wanting another one !

Hello!  Like I said in pp on your other thread-miss ya!!  Been too long!  We are doing ok here!  Sarah is doing as good as to be expected I suppose-she is very dependent and wants to be held a lot, and we are still having issues with spit up and constipation.  But oh well, we will get that worked out eventually right?  (right?  I mean, this can't last forever, right??)  But the one good thing is that if I stick to my Bathtime, Bottle, Bed routine, she sleeps all night, so I am really digging that!! 

Allison is doing GREAT!  For the first time since she was Sarah's age she isn't driving me nuts!  She is actually listening, and helping, and putting her toys away, no argument.  So no complaints there.  I am actually stunned.  She is even starting to use the potty-something I was convinced would NEVER happen! 

ME and the dh are doing pretty good!  Now that I am not pg, and am pretty much healed, things are much better in the you know where dept! ;)  So thats been fun (I feel like we are dating again!)

Other than all of that, things aren't too different, just a little less sleep, a little more stress, and ALOT noisier!!!  haha!  I am glad to hear that you had a party in the park for your dd!!  Thats awesome!!!  The time flies.  I still can't believe that we are halfway through Aug.  I am trying to soak it up now, cuz next thing to look forward to is pumpkin patch/apple orchard days...then nothing till next may! :p
