July 2008 Expecting Club

Hi,

My daughter so far seems to be a good baby...pretty typical she is 4 weeks old.  This is my 1st.  I have already started trying to get her on a semi schedule.  She goes in her crib about 8:30 and falls asleep around 9.  She wakes up around 11 or 12 for a feeding and then goes to sleep in her crib till 3 or 4 am.  We are feeding her 3 ounces every 3 hours.  The issue is at the 3 / 4 am feeding she wants to be up till 6 or 7 am.  She does not cry or fuss but she wants to "play" if you put her in her crib during this time she will cry.  She usually ends up going back to sleep around 6 or 7 for another 2 hours.  This new trend just started this week the 3 or 4 feeding always took her a little longer to go back to sleep at least an hour but anyone have this issue or anyone have any suggestions on what i can do to get her to sleep.  I try everything rocking, patting, putting her on my chest and nothing works.

Also, she is doing well on 3 ounces every 3 hours but I was wondering when can I move to 4 ounces every 4 hours?  At how many weeks?
