I'm sorry I don't have a link to post! I just heard on the news that the insurance companies came out right before the senate health care reform vote saying if it passes premiums will increase for everyone. I couldn't pay full attention to the story (darn kids LOL) but I got the impression they are saying it will be 'significant' increases.

IMO, they are playing hardball. And IMO, I REALLY hope that our representatives grow a collective pair and turn around and say "Ok, you threaten us? Bam! Single payer is back on the table. Wanna push us more?"

Any yet, the chances of that are even less likely then the chances that fairies will come and clean my house while I take a nap today.

I'm so stinking sick of all this! Peoples health should NOT be tied to profits. It is disgusting!!!

I don't have a link either, but I saw on Keith Olberman last night, and dh was talking about it today: that the accounting firm that DID the study is now saying the insurance industry is not telling the truth. It was something like, they are not putting out ALL the info that Price Waterhouse Cooper (the accountants) gave them, and that money would actually be SAVED! So it's a huge, fake scare tactic! Will try to find the story...

Ah! this makes me SO steamed.

I really do wish our elected officials would grow a backbone! and stand up to them. Insurance companies are like a bunch of vampires, and I don't doubt for a second that they aren't telling truth about things.

But like you said, I am more likely to win the lottery even though I haven't bought a ticket than for any real change to occur :(

So flipping depressing!!!
