SO were you watching this as it happened?  Do you think it was a haox or real parents fearing for their lost son?  And what about all the day after coverage esp. while the poor little guy was sick?

Just wondering what you all thought about this.

I missed pretty much the whole drama! The first I heard of it was around 6pm when i was working out, and the news was saying they just found him.

I'm not sure if it is a hoax or not. If it is, I hope the parents are forced to pay back the money spent by the police, etc. If not, I think a lot of people owe the parents an apology LOL But I doubt we'll ever know for sure.

As a mother, though, I sure know that if I thought my child was dead (due to those horrible pictures that the talking heads were theorizing might be Falcon falling to his death! *shudder* I don't know how the media thought that was ok to show!) there is no way I'd grant multiple interviews. I'd be hugging my child till within an inch of his life LOL And, I admit it bugs me to see those poor exhausted kids propped up for interview after interview. Especially once Falcon started saying he was sick. poor exhausted little boy! :-(

I didn't pay attention to the news or know about it that day until evening & the boy had been found, so my only thought was "oh good."

At first the local police were saying the next day that it was definitely not a hoax, just a lost child and so on. They reported Falcon's comment that "it was for the show" so I was a little suspicious knowing that & that they had been on an episode of wife swap. But with the assurances of the local police that they belieived the parents, I didn't really think about it until I saw a news conference (yesterday) by the local sherriff office saying they just said the parents were innocent to gain their trust and get them to take lie detector tests and/or get them to talk to the sherriff office. They said they were being investigated, and thought there would be charges in the future.

I think those parents are pretty pathetic to put their kids through emotional trauma of the whole ordeal purposely & then go through all the media interviews etc, just so they may get a reality show in the future. Pretty disgusting.
