Well....looks like light voter turn out was the issue. We voted for Obama with a more than 70% voter turn out last year...last night turn out was only a little over 30%. Lame. Why did all the Dems stay home????
That's a shame. I'm more distressed about NJ. They're so solidly blue. I feel like in most cases with this election, it was people having unrealistic expectations of how long it would take to fix everything that took 8 years to break.
I just couldn't believe McDonnell actually used the word "fornicators" in 2009. Is this really an issue?
New Jersey had pretty bad voter turn out in the Democratic areas and high in the Republican so I think that is some of the reason. I am pretty disappointed too, but I totally expected Christie to win.
On a happy note - I am SO glad Bloomberg didn't win by a landslide. I HATE that he is mayor for an illegal third term (can we say benevolent dictator) but at least it was neck and neck. No one was expecting that :)
