Who’s watching the kids? When it comes to childcare, it always helps to have a support system. Whether you’re returning to work, or need some after-school supervision for the kids, or just want to sneak away for a date night with Dad, leaving your little darlings with someone who is not you is a difficult decision. That’s when you call on your Momtourage. Got childcare tips for the back-to-school season? Or a story about or from your Momtourage? Tell us! Share your helpful hints and we’ll feature the best in Momtourage.

My neighbor and I would trade child care, so she could go do stuff she needed to without her daughter, and I did a couple of things without my daughters. It was great. I felt so much better knowing that I could go do something alone, and my friend would get to do the same when she needed to.

My son will be starting kindergarten this fall, and his school is about six blocks from our house. My plan is to introduce myself to some of the other mothers in my neighborhood who have kids in the same class and see if we can get a 'walk the kids to school' co-op group going. That way, I won't have to do it every day!

I don't really have someone in my momtourage to handle child care, other than my mom.  In emergencies, I can ask a friend to get him, but that's more of a one time thing.

LUckily my kids are older so my oldest babysits the younger ones most of the time.

My neighbor pitches in also, and we trade off babysitting now and then.

We also use the 'Boys and Girls club' so there isnt so much 'sibling death threats' when the older kids watch the younger ones all summer. Its free for us, since were a military family, and they have lots of fun activities!

My neighbor helps out by picking up the kids for me when my husband is in the field since the club closes before I get off work!

Its times like those that I REALLY APPRICIATE MY MOMTOURAGE!!
