My LO slept from 11:30 pm to 4:30 am 5 hrs!)  last night and she is BF- I fed her right before she fell asleep. Is this ok- it seems like a long time to me- she is only 2 weeks old. Or should I just thank my lucky stars?

Just thank your lucky stars! I know that I am because my LO has been going from about 8:30p to around 2:30a and then to about 5:30a between feedings at night(and is EBF)! He has been doing this for 3 or 4wks and he is almost 8wks! My DDs didn't sleep this long til they were almost 3 months.

THank your lucky stars. LOL> Actually it's pefectly fine. My little one is EBF and has been doing 5 hours since birth. He's 2 months old now. The ped says it's fine and says let the baby sleep. I LOVE him. My second did this as well (until she started teething but it was great while it lasted). As it turned out they are my biggest babies so that must have something to do with it too.

Relax and Enjoy those 5 straight hours of sleep.

My LO is 6 weeks now and has been doing 8-9 hours for a few weeks now.  It is AWESOME!  Her Dr. started to tell me that was kind of long and maybe we should wake her, but this was after she told me that her height and weight is perfect.  So when I said that she'd been doing it for a couple of weeks, she kind of dropped the idea of waking her.  Why wake a happy, healthy baby when we could all be sleeping?

My son has days where he sleeps 6 hours straight and I'm breastfeeding. Then he'll wake up to feed and go back for another hour or two. He's the best sometimes. I don't ever wake him. I figure if he's hungry he'll wake up. Its not consistent though. Sometimes he's up every 3 hrs. He's 4 weeks old.
