I started pumping one relief bottle per day to give to her, and we went through about 4 different kinds before we found one. A friend ran one of her "Breastflow" bottles (by First Year) over to our house and our baby loved it. She didn't fuss at all (according to my husband.) So we bought a set of our own, and she is back to fussing. Why would she like the used bottle better than the new ones? the only thing I can figure is maybe the nipple hole got a little bigger in the older bottle and she got the milk faster?

Basically while DH is giving her this bottle she's fussing and crying and I can hear her upstairs while I'm supposed to be asleep. So, this idea of a relief bottle is pointless.

I'm wondering if I should poke a bigger hole in the new bottle nipples? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It could be the nipple.  I know that my lo liked the number 1 nipple.  I moved to the one month nipple and she started fussing as soon as we did.  She was getting too much formula.  Now she has gotten used to it.  Try using the next nipple up.  If that gives her too much milk, get a salad fork and use the tine to make the hole on the number one nipple just a little bigger.  She may like the in between size....

good luck!
