Some say to drink white wine with fish, and white meats, and reds with beef and red meats.

I don't really go by that rule...LOL  I drink what I like best when I feel like having it.

What I would do is find a nice bottle of red and one white (more if you have more guests#.  A good white would be a Pinot Noir #not too dry, not too sweet#.  For red, try to find a nice blend like a cabernet/merlot or Cab/Shiraz #Yellow Tail makes a nice one that is around $10 purple label#.

Beringer makes good wine #red or white), but the bottles are more pricey.  I have had $27 bottles that were good, but I liked the Yellow Tail just as much... go figure.

I'm like Chris, if I like it, I drink it with whatever and don't follow the rules.  Lately, I'm hooked on Chianti.  I don't drink much, but when I do, it's red and on the dry side.  I don't have a specific brand because every Chianti I've tried, I like.

Thanks to Chris for my great siggy

For Thanksgiving last year my ILs found a nonalcoholic wine for DH's grandma.  It wasn't sparkling cider or grape juice, it was wine, and it was pretty good.  Just a suggestion so you won't feel left out :)
