Over 35 with Young Kids

Good Morning everyone,

                     I am home today so I thought I would start the thread. DH had to go to the specialist this morning. He is 2 hrs. away. I had no one to watch Michael so I had to take the day off.I do not get payed so that sucks, but I am glad I can be home for a day with Michael. It was a rough week last week. My grandmother passed away. Her funeral was Last Thurs. She was 90. My mother(her daughter) found her . She lived alone in her apartment. She was never sick . I am glad I did go to see her with Michael every few weeks. I am sick it started last  week . I have a bacterial infection. I have a bad cough and runny niose , sore throat. DH is sick and Michael has bronchitis. He did not go trick or treating do to the fact he had a fever Fri. and Sat. and was wheezing and coughing bad. I only got 1 pic in his costume. I put it on for a min at home. He did love the trick or treaters that came to the door. Today Michael sees the ped. I want to ask him about his lack of weight gain and speech. I am concerned he is not saying only a few words.Last week when I took him to the wlk in he had not gained any weight since his appt. in May. He is so skinny.Hope everyone has a good day.

That stinks that you are all sick.  I hope Michael's apt goes well today.  I hope you all get well soon.

As for the weight gain, when Zach started walking, he didn't gain much weight.  he was still eating well, and seemed healthy, so we didn't worry much.  As for the lack of speech, you should mention it, but at his age, they only expect some babble and maybe a few words.  Let us know how it goes.

Not much going on today.  I need to set my DVR to start recording V tonight.  Anyone else going to start watching?

DH called me last night.  He found out he is going to NYC next week, and asked if Zach and I wanted to go with him.  I think we will go, but I have to find out what the OT schedule for Zach is going to be first.

I am sorry about your grandma and that everyone is sick! I hope Michael's appt will go well today. It's sad that he missed trick or treating. Anna missed her first birthday, because she was sick and crabby.

Everything is fine here. Anna enjoyed Halloween, but she didn't trick-or-treat for long. Adults in skeleton costumes freaked her out and she ran home. My boss is finally back to work, so I get to catch a breath. I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving now :)
