February & March 2007 Sweet Muffins

Hi,

Our March CL Angie suggested that we come over and introduce ourselves.  I think that many of us are super excited yet apprehensive over this merger.  But hopefully the result will be great.  I am excited to meet so many new people.  I already know Linda from my July 09 board and think she is awesome!  I can't wait to get to know more of you. 

Name:  Beth

Muffin's Name:  Evelyn (we call her Evie)

Birthdate:  February 26, 2007 (so she is technically a Sweetheart anyway). 

Siblings:  Just one, a girl named Emery born July 2, 2009

About my Muffin:  Evie is a wonderful kid, but you know I am biased.  She has a sweet and sometimes determined personality.  She goes to daycare 5 days a week and she has since she was 5 months old.  She is in love with anything related to princesses.  Her favorite TV show is Barney.  She loves her little sister and I think it is so awesome to see how she treats her. 

About me:  I live in Minnesota.  I work outside the home, but often long to stay at home.  I think both career paths are rewarding in their own ways.  I am a huge fan of shows like Project Runway and American Idol.  I still am working on losing my baby weight from baby number 2, but have run into some speed bumps along the way.  And I love football.  Can't think of anything else to say right now.

I'm Pam, SAHM to MM Zoe, born 3/21/07.  She has a little brother who was born 6/14/09.  (Hi Kelly! Nice to run into another June Joey mom here).  :o)

Zoe is so much fun.  She lives in her storybooks and so far is more tomboy than princess.  Her latest thing is being a different animal every day and telling us what to say so that we play along properly.  A typical exchange sounds something like this:

Good morning, Zoe! 

No, I'm a spider!  Say, "Good morning little spider." 

Oh. Good morning little spider. 

Say, "What are you doing, spider?  Are you having a tea party on your web?" 

(Then if we don't say what she tells us, she'll keep repeating it until we do). 

She is finally getting used to having a brother.  The first 2 months were really rough.  She was having nightmares and waking up 3 or 4 times a night.  (Tag-team bawling in the middle of the night between a toddler and an infant when your husband can't help b/c he works nights does not make for a rested mama).  She is finally better and now sleeping more than she ever has. 

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and hope this merger tuns out to be a great thing.  I'm sad that our board slowed down so much that this was necessary, but looking forward to making new friends.

Muffin's Name: Christopher

Birthdate: March 12, 2007

Siblings: None. Pretty sure he'll be an only.

About my Muffin: Christopher is a two year old, doing what two year olds do, exploring the world around him and causing me to pull my hair out. :-) He's a great kid, seems very intuitive for his age and can figure out just about anything. He's kind of tiny, weighing in at only 26.7 lbs and 35.75 inches tall. Christopher is the best thing that's happened to us, need I say more.

About me: I live in Washington state, have almost all of my life (except for four years when my husband worked in Oregon). I'm a SAHM and my husband owns his own business which is doing well and providing for the family. I'm 30 years old as is my husband. We've been married 5 years now, together 8. I'm gluten free and keep a gluten free blog that I love posting to. http://livingwithoutwheat.blogspot.com/

I hope to get to know all of you and come to love this board as much as I did the March Muffins.
