Who is this car seat for? Do you need a convertible cs (one that can rear-face/forward face) or one that is just forward facing. If you just need a ff cs than you won't need the Britax Roundabout. Besides it has a VERY short shell, 40# limit and most kids grow out of this seat before age 4. For less than $180 there are many more CS that you could choose. Just wondering, are you a die-hard Britax fan?

We have used the Roundabout since Connor was 4 months and love it, BUT he will need a new seat by the end of the year. He's 39.5 lbs and has about an 1 inch from being too tall.

We are looking for a ff seat that 5 point harnesses for a while longer and then converts to a booster. Britax has the Frontier, which we like, but not the price. Our problem with other brands is the buckle is so much shorter on other seats and I can't imagine that it would be comfortable to have that strap so tight.

This carseat is for my princess "Saiyuri"...she's 2 and will be 3 on Feb. 14

I've heard so many good things on this board about the Britax brand and people go crazy when they have sales, so I thought I better jump in when I see a deal. I thought this was one that would grow with her....I need to do better research. As a matter of fact we are forward facing. I always feel bad when I say that cause people give you that look...you know. And people always say that Yuri looks tall for her age...maybe I should take that into consideration too. Thanks...if you have any reccomendations please share.

Thanks Heidi and Denyse

Btw, what seat is she riding in now?

If she is FF then I would look at the Graco Nautilis, it too retails for about $180. It harnesses to 65# then becomes a high back booster then a no-back booster, so chances are it will be the last seat that you will need for her. I have been buying Britax for 10+ years (my oldest dd is almost 12) and while Britax seats are great they are not my favorite. I own 2 Marathons, 2 Radians, a Nautilis and an Evenflo Triumph Advance. Imo, hands down, I like my Radians SO much better than my Britax seats. And fwiw, my 4 y.o. likes his Nautilis better than the Britax Marathon too.

If you want a Britax than you can look at the Britax Frontier and the Britax Regent. The Regent is a FF only harness seat where as the Frontier converts from a harness seat to a booster seat. The Britax seats will be more costly than the Graco Nautilis.

Jump over to the car seat board. http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppcarseats. You probably don't have to post anything since, chances are someone will have already posted a similar question.

Good luck and let me know what you get.
