Hello! I am racking my brain over the different flu vaccines and the schedule of the regular vaccinations. For SB I did them all on schedule, I now have a 6 month old and am considering switching to a delayed schedule for him. I've been reading about Dr. Sears' schedule and can't seem to find an updated one online without getting every random bloggers added opinion and personal changes to the sched.

We have an appointment tomorrow. I don't even know what is available (as far as regular flu or H1N1) at our office, but I wanted to go over the schedule before I go in and talk to the Ped. Is anyone doing both H1N1 and regular flu?

Does anyone have the schedule they could share with me? I would very much appreciate it! TIA!

From what I have read on Dr. Sears's website, he does not endorse the flu vaccines.  This was awhile ago so something might have  changed.

With SB we did the normal vax schedule...with the new baby we are doing a delayed schedule, most likely from The Vaccine Book by Sears.

Thanks for replying : ) It seems like since we already vaccinated on schedule for the 2 and 4 month apt that we would just do it for the 6 month since it would be the last set of vaccinations that would really need to be split up (at least for awhile). After reading lots and lots of info, mostly through Dr. Sears' website I had decided to get the H1N1, but not regular flu shot. At the apt. I found out that our county has no H1N1 shots and have a shortage of the regular, so much that there was a good change we wouldn't even be able to get the second dose. So no flu shots for us this year! It makes me a little nervous, but we are being extra careful!!

Yeah, makes sense to just get them all done if you already started!  We also haven't gotten any flu vax.  I am nervous about it since I am pregnant and SB is not even 3 yet...but I just don't feel comfortable getting the H1N1 for either of us.  I guess I still have time to decide because there are supposed to be shipments coming this month.  Hard decisions!

They are hard decisions! I had a loooong talk with my mom, who has her doctorate in public heath, and I was STILL nervous about choosing the H1N1 vaccine (whether we get it at this point or not, I don't know)! Even harder for you being pregnant and having a newborn soon! I feel for you!
