January 2007 Snowbabies

Ugh! My SB really makes me feel crappy sometimes. When it's just me and him together, it's no problem, but when DH is around, he seems to be really annoyed by my presence! DH treats me with immense amounts of respect, so modelling is not the issue here. SB will say he doesn't like me, slam the door in my face, tell me to go away etc. Sometimes I'll get a sorry and a hug if we push the issue and I appear really hurt. He's never violent, however. I think he just resents me making my motherly demands? I don't know.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something they grow out of?

I've had some of this happen to me as well, and DH is really quick to jump in and let the girls know in no uncertain terms that they aren't to treat mommy that way. It has gotten a lot better, but still, when he comes home, they don't want to spend their time with me.

My cousin had warned me about this because she had gone through it with her girls. It seems to coincide with how much DH is gone. During the summer when he was home, it wasn't bad at all.

Hang in there...I think it does get a bit better with time.
