January 2007 Snowbabies

So I posted below about the Baby Einstein refund and I realized I sounded a little edgy with what I said...and it made me have a nostalgic moment about this board.....do you remember the days of the Hot Topics folder when we still had a lot of people coming regularly to the board? Wow, we had so much drama, but there was something kind of fun about it haha (or maybe it just was to a boring SAHM like I was back then!) I remember Zion used to nap for 3 or 4 hour stretches and I would come to the board and catch up on all the latest drama, and then add my own two cents to the current hot topics. I used to talk to DH all the time about what we were posting about and I think he found it more amusing than anything else, but he'd sometimes help me come up with a good argument for Hot Topics LOL

Anyway...can't believe how much the board has changed! Still love you gals :-)

I remember. It was crazy. The debates got so heated. the board itself was more lively also. I am sad to see it go and come to this.

Lydia - why do you think I spend so much of my iVillage time on the Debate Boards?  LOL!  I love a good discussion, especially when you can have a really good heated discussion without people getting personal with each other (ie. getting mad at each other).  I also bring home a lot of the discussions I have on those boards to my DH but at this point in the game he mostly just rolls his eyes and gives me whatever answer he thinks will shut me up the quickest.  ;)

I do kind of miss the good ol' days though.

It's funny...I DO sometimes miss the "old days" of all the fighting and stuff, but on the other hand, I really enjoy the ladies who have remained.  There's just like no drama here now, and I kind of like it.  I do miss some of our old regular posters who took off during all the scandals but...oh well...I love the ones who are here now.

Funny thing is that I don't really love my EC for my new little one, but part of the reason I don't is that no one there has strong opinions on anything!  I feel like I don't learn anything from that board, where I did (and still do) learn from this one.
