Maybe this has been posted before...

Are you getting your SS the swine flu vaccine?

I don't know what to do. She's already gotten the regular flu shot, and I hate to give her more shots, but maybe it's good to protect our little ones since the virus affects children more than adults.

So what are you going to do?

Thanks for any advice,

Yes, we are going to get the H1N1 shots as soon as they are available in our area. The H1N1 shots are made the same way as the flu shots are made. If this would have hit a bit earlier, I am sure that H1N1 would have been part of the regular flu shot. No bad side effects have been reported. One of my friend's, his cousin daughter is in the ICU as we speak. She is 5 and may have two more weeks before she can go home. Healthy babies are dying from this which is the scary part. I have talked to my doctor and Emma's doctor. Both are getting the vaccine and have recommended that we get vaccinated. Emma is in day care. We live in a big city. Both DH and I both work. My doctor said that they don't make any money off of the vaccinations.

Not everyone has the same circumstances as I do but those are my reasons.

None of us are getting any flu shots.  I have gotten them in the past for myself and my two older kids and we were WAY sicker those years than any other.  Haven't gotten flu shots in 6 years and not many illnesses and no harsh flus.  I believe in lots of hand washing etc....this is JMO.

I don't post on here very often anymore. We live in Canada and in our province there have been the most cases of H1N1 than in
any other province and a couple deaths in the last month. As soon as the vaccine is available in Canada every member of our family
will get it
