No theme, but something that tells a story that is significant to the person giving it, or their location, religion, ethnic heritage, family traditions, etc is extra special. Love handmade stuff or second-hand stuff too, so it doesn't have to come with original box to make me happy.. Oh, and I am a Trek fan so if I got a Trek themed ornament, it would be my first and I would be thrilled.
No glass though, please.
And this sounds odd, but nothing scented like potpourri, I have a terrible allergy to lavender and certain other fragrances.

my son is into world word this year so that would also be fantastic.

my hobby is scrapbooking and my husband is into construction trucks.

We decorate with blues, silvers, and whites and super-cute snowmen lol but I'm really easy to please. I'm cool with glass or non-breakables (we put the glass ones on top of the tree lol) or religious ones. We're Southern Baptist. Really though, just about anything will do!
