We're having an awful time with finding something Lilly will actually sleep in. Her room is the coldest in the house and hangs out around 65 degrees or so. She HATES having anything on her feet and once accessible will take off her diaper if given the chance. Feety pajamas are out - she will take it off followed by the dipe and end up sleeping naked in a puddle of urine (BTDT a few times). We've had some success with two-piece, footless, fleece pajamas. Every single night the socks come off though and every few nights her top does as well.

Whatever we end up using I think I'll need to put a onesie under it to stop Lilly from taking her diaper off. I've considered buying character pajamas or letting her choose something but I can't imagine that working. I've also thought of layering a two piece cotton outfit over the top of a cotton feety one and a onesie. That sounds like an awful lot though - not to mention it would infuriate her to no end.

We already have flannel sheets in the crib and use fleece blankets as well.

Thoughts? Ideas?

TIA!

I have heard of parents putting those footy pajama's on backwards to keep the kids from taking them off!!!  You could always cut the feet out of them since she doesn't like that.  It's worth a try!

Is she a heavy sleeper? Maybe you can put footless pjs on her and when she falls asleep you can sneak in and put some socks on her?

I was going to cut the footie part off of Wyatt's pj's too, but it's because tha part is too small...since his feet are so big...but the main part of the pj's fits just fine. :)

Wyatt won't sleep with socks on either...pulls them off almost instantly. We have been using a lot of the fleece pants and long sleeve Carter pjs lately. Luckily Wyatt has started covering himself with a blanket so I think he stays pretty warm still. Although sometimes he still ends up sleeping on top of the blanket.

Good luck!

We have almost the same issue with Billy. His room is the coldest in the house, but he doesn't mind the footed pj's. I put a onesie on him and then I have a bunch of the carter's fleece footed pj's and he will keep a blanket on him. My daughter was like Lilly is, she would undress herself and HATED anything on her feet and still does to this day and she's 6 now. I did the same with her for bed, onesie and then the carter's fleece pj's, but the ones without the feet.... like these... http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/landingpages/carters/infantgirls/PRD~513751/Carters+PolkaDot+Monkey+Fleece+Pajamas.jsp Her feet always seemed to stay warm even though she never kept anything on them, I would sometimes sneak socks on her after I knew she was good and asleep.
