check your insurance-water leak saga!
So this week I've been completely MIA-because we've had a hot water leak in the cement slab under our house, causing major problems-no hot water since Halloween, to start. Let me keep this very brief, but do yourself a huge favor. Check your homeowner's policy about what they will and won't cover and your deductible. We're havinng to do a reroute vs jackhammering through the cement in two rooms, and the best (enter HUGE SARCASM HERE), since our company got a quote of $1300 to just fix the leak (not the reroute, which costs $3200), and our deductible is $1000- the insurance is only paying for $300 of the repair (and the other damages resulting from the water leakage, wet carpet, linoleum, extra food we have to buy out of pocket, Its been a colossel problem,
all the damage, time, money to eat out/not have access to hot water, and the money to come up for the rest of the reroute is a lot. so on that note. check your policies. you don't want the headache that we've had.
