The H1N1 vaccine is no different than the flu shot itself. The only reason it is seperate from the flu shot itself is because it did not make it into the flu shot this year. they made it by itself because they where unable to get that strand into the other.

I would say you need to get it for her because you do have a little on in the house that can't get it. It's to protect her more than the rest of you, you don't want Jules getting sick because the smaller they are the worse the cases are. Just my opinion. My kids will be getting and i believe I will as well.

 

  

I got all three of my kids the H1N1 vaccine. That is why I didn't think much when my SF got a slight fever a few days later. Apparently we had caught the virus at about the same time we got the vaccine. Before she even had a cough or sniffle she had an attack of croup so bad I had to call 911 and she was taken to teh hospital in an ambulance. Her Dr told me that swine flu has a very large number of kids getting croup. I have never had any of my kids with croup. It was so incredibly scary to wake up to my 3 year old gasping unable to breathe.

I would suggest to anyone who can get the vaccine to get it. H1N1 is a scary virus. DH and I stayed up for days taking turns watching Erika sleep. I have never seen any of my kids so sick.
